Summerfield Planning Limited is an independent planning consultancy built on a foundation of expertise, trust, and dedication to high-quality planning services and outcomes.


With over 22 years of experience in the planning industry, spanning both consultancy and Local Authorities, I bring a unique approach to every project. Having spent 14 years working in planning for Local Government and the last 8 years in planning consultancy, I have developed an in-depth understanding of the planning process from both regulatory and advisory perspectives. This insight allows us to navigate complexities efficiently and deliver well-informed solutions.

While I enjoy working independently, I have built strong relationships with a select group of trusted professionals. During particularly busy periods or for specialised tasks, I collaborate with these experts to maintain availability and uphold the high standards our clients expect. Every aspect of our work is carefully overseen and personally signed off by me, ensuring consistency, precision, and excellence.

Why We Started

After many years working in Local Authorities and consultancy, I knew it was time to create something of my own. My experience on both sides of the planning process gave me the confidence to establish a consultancy where I could make a difference for clients while maintaining the flexibility and control that comes with running a business.


More than just a professional decision, this was a personal one—my family has always been my greatest motivation. Starting Summerfield Planning Limited allowed me to merge my work in planning with my personal values, offering top-tier consultancy services while creating a balanced and fulfilling way of working.
